I've been reading and studying Tarot since 1969, when I acquired my first deck - that "Zolar's Astrological Tarot" chimera of a deck, that I quickly found useless, and replaced with the "Hoi Polloi Tarot", a variant of the Rider-Waite, and the 1JJ Muller Swiss deck. While I lost the Waite variant during one of my many moves, I still have my Swiss deck, and the Albano-Waite decks (yes, multiples of both) that I have used ever since, along with many others. In recent years, I've become very enamored of the Visconti decks, and use several of the reproductions, as well as Paul Huson's Dame Fortune's Wheel, and Rolla Nordic's Tarot - yes, I do have a love for the older style of decks, it's true.
I have no idea exactly how many decks I currently own, or have owned over the past 50 years, but it's been a lot. Some I keep and use, others I gift away.
