The Tarot Guild Code of Ethics.

The Tarot Guild Code of Ethics

3744169694?profile=RESIZE_710xIn today's day and age, when "scams" run rampant, encouraged by the anonymity of the internet, it's even more important that ethical Professional Readers have a Code.

All bodies of professional practitioners, financial, medical, legal, contactors, and so on, have a Code they operate by. The Tarot Guild Code of Ethics is intended to encourage professional standards of practice among Professional Tarot Readers.

It is a framework by which the students of our Courses and Guild Certified Readers can manage their responsibilities to clients, colleagues, other members of the Tarot Guild, the general public and to themselves.

Remember, The Tarot Guild Code of Ethics is merely a frame work. This is the bare minimum. Each practitioner should write their own, adding to and adjusting as needed....

⦁ I recognize that the client’s welfare and empowerment is the primary concern.
⦁ I will empower my clients to make their own choices and decisions.
⦁ I will not exploit my clients, such as offering unnecessary services.
⦁ I respect client confidentiality above all else. I will keep confidential the names of clients and all information shared or discussed during readings, unless otherwise requested by the client or required by a court of law.
⦁ I will treat all of my clients with equal respect, regardless of their origin, race, religion, gender, age, or sexual preference.
⦁ I will cultivate my abilities and skills, and will work within the limits of that competence.
⦁ I will recommend clients consult a licensed professional for advice of a legal, financial, medical, or psychological nature that I am not qualified to provide.
⦁ I will nurture my own personal well-being and self-care regimen, and will conduct consultations only if my health and energy levels are sufficient.
⦁ I will respect the client's right, and my right, to terminate a Reading at any point.
⦁ If at any point I feel I am unable to complete a Reading, I will courteously and tactfully request to reschedule or offer a Refund.
⦁ I will only Read for people I have permission to Read for, and will not attempt to Read for unwitting third parties.
⦁ I will conduct myself in a manner that promotes public confidence in the role of Professional Tarot Readers.
⦁ I will never undermine the work of fellow Professional Readers, nor publicly defame them.
⦁ I will accurately coomunicate the terms by which my services are offered (i.e., qualifications, availability, confidentiality, fees, cancellation policy, and any other significant matters)
⦁ I will refrain from judgment, criticism and personal bias during consultations
⦁ I only provide services to individuals over the age of 18.
