The trick in the Eight of Swords is to wriggle her way out of her bonds, and take off the blind fold. Then she can see her way out, from among all those swords. This is symbolic of getting rid of the excess thoughts... Can't see for forest for the trees?
The Three of Swords is a card of sorrow, pain and grief. It's also transformation through grief and pain. Even though we're talking emotions here, this isn't a "Cups" card... It's swords, so this is all happening in your mind.
Three (3) is the Number of Communication and Creativity. The Knight of Swords is clever, clear-minded, and courageous. He is a great communicator and insightful, fearless, assertive and has psychic vision!
