If you have been feeling bound, restricted, trapped by your own thoughts, then today's message is definitely for you. Swords are "Thoughts & Ideas" in Tarot, and the Eight of Swords has a lot of them!
This is a card of restricted action, fear, temporary weekness, self-restriction, being bound by expectations, indecision, not seeing the path forward....
But Eight (8) is also the Number of Abundance & Prosperity. "8" is double-"4" Energy, Structure, which is also the Energy of the DAY today (13th = 1 + 3 = 4). The way to prosperity is contained within the card itself.
The figure in the card is blindfolded, but she (he, they) is not without sight. She can look within, and conceive the Seed of an Idea. She will realize that she can easily wriggle her way out of her bonds, take off her blindfold, and see the path forward....
Today's DATE reduces to the Nine-Vibration (9-13-2021 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9). Nine (9) represents completion, the end of a cycle, the culmination of wisdom and experience, letting go of what no longer serves you.
The Hermit brings with it the same 9-Energy, and he counsels you to let go of the thoughts, and go within. Today you should be sure to get a lot of alone-time.
You must believe in your own wisdom and esperience. The answer you seek will not be found online, or in a book, but rather in "The Cave" of your own mind!
The Hermit shines his lantern of Illumination onto the Ace of Swords. Like all Ace's, the Ace of Swords brings with it the 1-Energy of New Beginnings. This Ace represents The Seed of an Idea!
The Ace of Swords traditionally means such things as the beginning of victory, mental energy, ultimate truth, source, and the power of thought....
As a single sword, it indicates a focus on ONE idea, and represents the clarity this focus brings. Too many thoughts and ideas brings confusion, indecision, inaction. We all have varied and mutliple interests, but we can't serve them all, and we "get stuck".
It's not that we shouldn't pursue the others at some point, but for now, put them on the back burner. Go within, and let your intuition and gut instincts tell you what ONE thing to focus on now......
