COTD = The Ten of Cups

In the Numerology for today, we have an 8-Energy DAY, the Number of Abundance, Prosperity and Success. There is a lot of possibility on an "8" Day. We also have a 6-Energy DATE, the Number of Hearth & Home, Nuturing, a return to Balance, after the chaos of "5".
The Tarot Card of The Day, The Ten of Cups, is also Hearth & Home, Nuturing, Abundance, Prosperity and Success!
In The Ten of Cups we have an idealic scene. A happy couple with 10 Cups, in a rainbow, over their heads! ...Their happy children are dancing and playing together. A nice home in the background. A white house (purity) with a red roof (passion for life).
Everything is bright and happy! The River or Stream of Life passes before them. The figures wear Yellow and Blue, the Colors of enthusiasm, optimism, vitality, happiness, tranquility, and peace.
This card is often thought of as very positive. It could mean, for example, an upcoming family get-together or reunion, sharing your home -- and everyone is going to get along and be harmonious.
It's also a very positive card in terms of romantic relationships and may indicate either the beginning of a new, very happy relationship, or the ultimate satisfaction of a long-term relationship....
But is everything really happy and gay? ...."10" is ZERO enhancing the Number 1. So it's the same 1-Energy, only taken to the next level, one could almost say to an extreme...
In fact, just taking a quick look at the 10 cards, from the Minor Arcana, we can see they are extremes - they are overkill ...."9" is the end of the Cycle, and "1" the beginning of the next ...so "10" is that hair-breath moment, between cycles.
The Nine of Cups is the card of fulfillment, often called "the Wish come true Card" ...so perhaps everything is not as it seems, with The Ten of Cups! How many families have we known that had the outward appearance of a Happy / Healthy Family, but actually had real problems behind the scenes? ...There is also the possibility of excess or "showing off", as well.
