The Moon is our Card of The Day (COTD) today, and bringings with it the 9-Vibration (18 = 1 + 8 =9) of The Philanthropist, Humanitarianism, and the End of a Cycle ...It is also from the Creativity Numbers Sub-Group 3 - 6 - 9.
The DATE today (06152021 = 17 = 1 + 7 = 8) brings in the Eight-Vibration of Abundance & Prosperity! ....from the Business Numbers Sub-Group 2 - 4 - 8.
In the Waite/Smith version of The Moon (shown here from the Radiant Deck), a crayfish emerges from the dark depths of a body of water (the subconscious, the spiritual realm, our higher-selves), onto a narrow path....
The path leads between two towers (the entrance to the material realm), flanked by a dog and a wolf (our animal and domesticated sides), to a summit in the distance (our GOALs in Life)....
First take a look at The High Priestess Card. I tell my students to think of The High Priestess as viewing this scene form the other side! ....The High Priestess card itself being "connected" to the Moon, and it's cycles.
The Priestess guards the entrance to the "temple", holding the mysteries and knowledge. It's marked by a black column, and a white one, showing the dualistic nature of our "reality" (material realm).
A veil covers the entrance, but "peeking" beyond the veil, we see the large body of water, from The Moon Card, revealing that we come from Spirit....
The otherworldly-looking crayfish represents our "True Self". Unrecognizable compared to what we have become in Life... Living in a dualistic Universe, and inhabiting our physical bodies!
This is our "True Self", free of the Illusion of Duality, from the Spiritual Realm / Collective Conscious, where there is no duality, no Time, or Space.... No wonder it seems "alien" and we don't recognize it!
The two towers are the backside of the pillars, from The High Priestess, only they are both gray, as - on this side - we have not yet entered the Dualistic Universe.
Our anima and animus, wild and domesticated, rational and animal sides begin to emerge. The Moon itself looms large over the landscape, showing all the phases it passes through.
This Card has many meanings. It represents Life's Cycles, similar to The Wheel card, and especially feminine rhythms and power, like The High Priestess. It can be a Card of illusions, fear, the subconscious....
When it shows up, have heightened awareness as to your Intuition and your Dreams! Strange experiences can happen - there's a reason it's called "luna-cy"! ...even Confusion.
There can be a Psychic Awakening, all the way to fallin prey to Self-Deception....
With the 6-Energy being present, pay special attention to Balance in your Life, harmony, and your home-life.
While pursing the 8-Energy today, of Abundance, take careful stock of the situation. Is a business opportunity "to good to be true"? .....Look for what's "hidden", in "the shadows". Read the "fine print", and dot all the "I's" and cross all the "T's"!
If you feel negative emotion about a matter today, examine your reaction. Take a step back... "Why" are you reacting so strongly? Is it triggering something you are unaware of, from your Past?
Are there some things, hidden in your subconscious, that you haven't delt with? It can be uncomfortable, even painful, to face the "Shadow-Self", to uncover one's own motives, even self-deception... But this is just your subconscious trying to protect you.....
That part of yourself doesn't understand that the pain and discomfort are transient. That by facing one's fears and motives, allowing them to rise, and come into conscious awareness, they will both lose their power and you will gain important knowledge about yourself!
