Dax's Daily Dose of Tarot and Numerology!
In Today's Numerology, it's a focus on Self, and relationships to others. The COTD is The High Priestess, urging you to find the wisdom within....
The entire DATE reduced to the One-Energy (0+3+2+9+2+0+2+1 = 19 = 1 + 9 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1) .....One is potential New Beginnings, and about Self. Today is a great Day to focus on yourself. That could be excapist, such spending some time alone, taking in a movie or good book, a walk in nature, spa day, etc.
.....or it could mean working on oneself. Spiritual practice, meditation, self-hypnosis, or working with a practitioner on blocks and unwanted habits.
The High Priestess is card about inuition and psychic ability, looking within, inner-knowledge, wisdom, patience, the divine feminine, and secret knowledge
In the Waite/Smith version of the card, the priestess sits between two pillars, one black and one white, representing the duality of the manifested world. The "B" is Boaz, and "J" Jachin - in Hebrew: In It Is Strength (Boaz), He Shall Establish (Jachin) ...the pillars marking the entrance to Solomon's Temple.
Together the three form the tree of life, from Kabbalah, which also seems to appear on the tapestry (veil) behind the priestess. The Veil has on it palm leaves and pomegranates.
It is said that perhaps the pomegranate, rather than the apple, was the original forbidden fruit, so there is a sense that The High Priestess guards great secrets.
The palm leaf may represents integration and balance of male and female, conscious and unconscious mind, the seen and the unseen (again, symbolism of the duality).
On her chest is a solar cross, representing the intersection of the divine and the manifested. A scroll, which we can make out has "Tora" (Torah) written on it, is tucked into her right sleeve.
She wears a crown with the waxing, full and waning moons, showing her connection to the moon, dreams, mysteries, and lunar / feminine cycles.
Although veiled, one can "peek" beyond the edges to see a vast body of water, representing the unconscious / subconscious and the spiritual realm..... This is the Great Secret she guards. That all that is, is manifested from consciousness.....
Called The Priestess in the Lllewellyn Deck version of the Card (below), she is represtented here by Ceridwan, from Welsh mythology. She herself, and her surroundings, are permeated by lush greenery, symbolizing growth and expansion.
She has a crescent moon atop her head, and seems to be both separate and part of the landscape, at the same time. The body of water, from the Waite/Smith version, is now before her, as is her cauldron, to her right.
The DAY today reduces to the Two-Energy (29 = 2 + 9 = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2). Two is about relationships, cooperation, partnerships, duality, supreme feminine energy... All of which "fits" perfectly withThe High Priestess, which is also a "2" card!
Before the final reduction to Two, however, we get Master Number "11" - The Master Illuminator Number. Today The High Priestess suggests taking time to yourself, and especially looking within for the answers you seek.
Sit in The Stillness! Listen to your Intuition! True Wisdom comes from within! ....and once you have your answers, ponder: "How can I help others (Master Illuminator Number) with my new insights, skills, abilities, knowledge and wisdom?"....
